About Me

I have a keen interest in the Environmental Sciences, Climate Change, Geographical Information Systems and Landscape Visualisation.  Outside work I have a number of interests including:

Amateur Radio

Having fun at SSB Field DayI have been interested in radio since the age of 13 and I’ve held an amateur radio licence since the age of 17, holding the callsign G7SOZ. I enjoy contacting fellow amateurs all over the world using HF radio and tend to use Morse Code or data modes.

I’m an active member of the Norfolk Amateur Radio Club and an enjoy participating in contests with them. This usually involves setting up large antenna systems in a muddy field, but is great fun.

See www.g7soz.net for my amateur radio pages.

Flying

Having fun in a Robin 2160i over Blickling Hall lakeI’ve been an aviation enthusiast since I was young, and in 2006 I gained my Private Pilot Licence. I currently fly a Piper PA28, and have a number of aircraft including the Cessna C152, Robin 2160i and Boeing Stearman in my logbook.

Photography

I enjoy landscape, travel and aviation photography. Some of my photographs can be viewed by clicking here
